Trying to find a nutritious and hearty breakfast can be tricky. I'm currently not able to have too much grains and as I cannot have egg either, breakfasts have become a pain as cereal, porridge and bacon & eggs don't work for me.

I've found this lovely recipe which works to replace porridge and sweet potato are literally loaded with goodness. It's warming and though it looks a unappetising it really does provide a welcome alternative to air! :)


  • Prick a sweet potato several times with a fork

  • Bake in oven on 200 degrees for 40 mins

  • Cut in half and scrape out sweet potato

  • Mix with 2 tablespoons of almond milk, 1 tsp manuka honey and 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon

  • Add handful of frozen blueberries and rasp

  • Eat whilst hot
