HOME-MADE HUMMUS
Updated: Mar 17, 2018
This is a really lovely snack. I like to dollop it on top of a salad for an extra kick or serve with crunchy red peppers which are extremely good for you.

Ingredients:
Makes a bowl
2 cloves grated garlic
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp ground cumin
2 x 400g tins chickpeas
3 tbsp olive oil
3 tbsp tahini
Juice of 2 lemons
1 tsp salt flakes
Method:
Drain and rinse chick peas
Chuck all ingredients into a blender
Add chickpeas
Whizz up
Though this is a lovely recipe, I did try a second version after I'd written it up using dried chickpeas that I soaked overnight. This was because the recipe above made me a little bit bloated and I thought it may be something to do with the processing of the tinned chickpeas. I have not suffered since doing the hummus this way, so when I get a chance I will post the new recipe on here too. I altered the measurements so can't do it now as I don't remember how! It's smoother and tastes even better. I'll update it on facebook so if you want to know when please just follow my facebook page and you'll get the alert. Ashley x
